Birth Control
There are more options for effective birth control now than ever before. 'The Pill' is still a favorite for many women, but there are many new combinations so if you are having unwanted side effects with one there are other possibilities. There is even one pill that will cause you to only have four periods a year. If remembering to take a pill every day is difficult for you then you may prefer something like the contraceptive patch, Ortho Evra. If the patch is too harsh on your skin then consider the vaginal hormone ring, the NuvaRing. Or maybe a once every three month injection of DepoProvera is what you want. In any case the doctors at ARFP can discuss these with you and recommend a system for you. Remember that none of these methods protect you from infection, and the use of condoms with these will reduce the chance of unwanted pregnancy even more.
