High Blood Pressure
Hypertension or High Blood Pressure is a very common type of
Heart disease. Yes, it should be thought of as a type of Heart
Disease, it is that important. And just what should your blood
pressure be? LESS THAN 135/85. Sure 144/94 is better
than 160/100 but it is not good enough. If your pressure is
more than 135/85 we need to change something, maybe change
medication or increase it but you should not settle for almost good
blood pressure. There are several medications that can help
control your blood pressure but as with so many conditions proper
nutrition (Diet) and adequate activity (Exercise) are the foundation
of treatment and prevention of hypertension. The
DASH
eating plan is a proven way to help control your blood pressure by
reducing the amount of salt or sodium you eat.
